Dining

The Brown Hotel originated the Hot Brown dish in the 1920s, and it remains on the menu at the Lobby Bar and Grill. J. Graham's Café serves casual breakfast and lunch with a buffet that guests have rated as the best they have ever had at any hotel. The Lobby Bar was named among the Top 15 Bars in the World by MSN in 2020 and offers a robust selection on the Urban Bourbon Trail.

Historic Recognition

The building opened in 1923 with Georgian-Revival architecture and has been listed in Travel + Leisure's Top 500 Best Hotels in the World. It is the first hotel in Louisville to be recognized for environmental sustainability. The property also earned a spot on Open Table's Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America list.
